Recent Changes.
The criteria for awarding the Good Earthkeeping Seal have been recently modified to emphasize the participation of young people since they are the generation that will have to deal with the challenges that will result from societies’ increasingly unsustainable life styles. We welcome input on the revised concept as we roll out this program in local communities.
We are also starting the project as a series of chapters at local levels and will then roll it out at the national level as the demand increases and the concept powering the project is seen to be a proven success.
However, we still focus our efforts on supporting the environmental initiatives of businesses.
This is NOT because individuals don’t have a similar role to play in Good Earthkeeping but simply because organizations have a far greater impact on the environment. What’s more, organizations can increase the environmental awareness of the many individuals since they can influence them by their examples in the workplace.

As founder of The Risk Communication Institute, Dr Paling is especially aware how easy it is to be melodramatic and exaggerate the risks in society. However, he believes that you don’t have to be a profit of gloom to recognize the world is changing in fundamental ways and that we are all going to have to make changes and adapt to the realities of our new balance with nature.
We believe that, the best way forward is to face the issues together as communities by providing special support and encouragement to those businesses that want to show that they get the message that they want to play a part in recognizing
